Did you know that September is considered “Yoga” month? That’s right…. YOGA MONTH!
Yoga is the physical, mental and spiritual practices or disciplines that aim to transform body and mind. Many people find yoga to help them in all aspects of their lives…..personal, professional, spiritual, and well being.
Sounds pretty relaxing right? Well we’ve found that a few pretty convincing reasons why giving it a try, is such a good idea!
Benefiting your brain…..What could be better than that?!? Studies have show that yoga will increase your brain function after only 20 minutes of practice and with today’s hustle and bustle of every day life, finding ways to improve memory and help maintain focus is key!
Improving your health…. We are all looking for ways to improve our health daily! Yoga can play an essential role in helping reduce cholesterol which also helps lower your risk of heart disease. Even better…..it has also been proven to reduce anxiety levels which, in return, will have more of a positive impact on someone….with lots of smiles going around! And who doesn’t love to smile!
Lastly, yoga is a way to disconnect even if just for a short period of time, from the every day craziness. It gives us the opportunity to put down our phones & computers, and really focus on what is going on in our lives. Yoga gives you the ability to clear your mind of the daily, weekly or monthly stressors and really focus on what truly matters…. Family, friends, & good health.
