Question: Why Real Estate?

Amanda's Answer: When I was in my 20's I was very curious about a career as a real estate agent.  I loved seeing all kinds of homes and thought about how much I would love to help others realize the joy of homeownership.  I personally bought my first home at age 19 and it was such an empowering experience!  I was a single mother, so real estate was not something I could pursue at that time since it is a commission only based income.  After meeting my current husband, I decided to go for it and make my dream of becoming a Realtor a reality.  I really love my job!  It's different everyday and though it's not always easy, it is very rewarding!

Question: What's your favorite part of the job?

Amanda's Answer: My favorite part of the job for me is seeing that twinkle in my buyers eyes when we find...the one!  Also, the joy and relief I see in the eyes of sellers when I explain the process and they know I have it under control.  Closing day is close second...being able to hand my buyers the keys or give the seller relief that it's all done and they can move on.  

Question: What's something most people don't know about you?

Amanda's Answer: Something most people don't know about me is that I used to teach Zumba!  I did a free Zumba class for anyone who wanted to join every Wednesday for about 5 years. We had as many as 69 people in a single class. There is a lot more to teaching Zumba than people might realize...Find a song I like, find a routine I like, practice it until I am so sick of hearing the song...LOL!  It was so much fun though!  I stopped doing it when my kids got into sports because I didn't have the time but I do miss it!
