Question: Why Real Estate?
Kayleen's Answer: I’ve always leaned into areas where I can help people. What better than real estate?! Helping folks find a home and create the life they want in our town is such a fulfilling thing. Seeing people grow and change as they take the huge step into homeownership is just so fun for me. Real Estate also gives me the opportunity to connect with our community (restaurants, shops, business owners) and pass along little tidbits of info to folks who may not know what all Centre County brings to the table.
Question: What's your favorite part of the job?
Kayleen's Answer: Meeting so many interesting people! You never know who you’re going to meet in Real Estate and that’s such a cool thing. Every day is different and people around you always want to talk about houses and the market here. Being a Realtor is such a great tool to start important conversations around housing and finance. It’s also really fun to see inside some of the homes I’ve loved since I was a child.
Question: What's something most people don't know about you?
Kayleen's Answer: I have a background in art and design. I’ve always been the creative type.. painting and drawing any chance I could get. In college, woodworking classes were my absolute favorite! Creating something functional and usable out of a simple piece of wood was such an interesting process. There’s a lot that goes into it.
I still do a lot of design work, mostly digital and graphic design. You have to let that creativity flow! It’s a total stress reliever. Food and travel are also a huge part of my life. Thankfully, Real Estate gives the flexibility to enjoy those things. You’ll see me frequenting my fav. restaurants… try the duck at Allen Street Grill, any dessert at Pine Grove Hall, eggs Benedict and a Hotel cocktail at The Hublersburg Inn, or an incredible lavender latte and Taiwanese pastry at Chew Chew Bun.
