Agent Highlight: Kris Hanahan

Kris launched her Real Estate career in 2004 when a dear friend and mentor suggested that she “give real estate a try” as a buyer agent on his team. She was licensed that year and has never looked back! Her care and expertise makes all the difference in helping clients make the best decisions during a transitional time in their lives. After over 17 years in the business, Kris has acquired high standards in excellence and in integrity, strengths in market knowledge and negotiating. Above all else, Kris values the relationships and friendships she has built with her clients.

Kris spent her childhood in Utica, NY surrounded by a large extended family. With most of her relatives within a few blocks, she learned early the beauty of community. In 1987, after college at RTI (Rochester Institute of Technology), where Kris earned her bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, she followed a professional opportunity that led her to State College. Kris fell in love with the small town feel and all of the opportunities awarded by the University. It was here that she met her husband and together they happily raised three children in Happy Valley.

Kris enjoys being involved with the community around her. From volunteering with her children's clubs, sports and activities, to serving on the board and as the President of CCAR, she aims to help keep the State College area moving forward and in positive directions.
