Dreaming About Growing Your Business – PA Organization Helps Startups in Tech Businesses and Small Manufacturing
Have you ever binge watched episodes of Shark Tank? Do you wonder what it would really be like to pitch your idea to investors who could truly change your life? Are you someone who has a tech solution or product you want to turn into a business?
While State College may not have Mr. Wonderful, we do have a wonderful organization, with a local office that has helped startups throughout Central Pennsylvania.
Ben Franklin Technology PArtners (BFTP) may be exactly what you are looking for to take your product and ideas to the next level. This award-winning organization has been part of the state’s plan for economic development for over 30 years by funding and providing resources to technology-based entrepreneurs, software developers, and small manufacturers
If you are still early in the development stages of your business or product, and close to State College, the BF TechCelerator @ State College could be the perfect, no-cost, resource for further growth of your idea. The Invent Penn State Initiative has partnered with BFTP to provide TechCelerator @ State College | BFTP/CNP (benfranklin.org) a 10-week business boot camp for up-and-coming tech-startups, along with one-on-one mentoring. “At the end of the ten weeks, participants make a pitch to a panel of local professionals and potential investors, with the opportunity to win up to $10,000 to help start their business.” (Anyone else getting visions of Shark Tank, or is it just me?)
There is so much more to know about BFTP. From job opportunities, internships, funding, eligibility, and more the Ben Franklin Technology PArtners is an excellent organization helping the economic development of our entire “Dear Old State”.
For more information about BFTP check out Investing in Innovation | Ben Franklin CNP for yourself. If you follow the “About” tab to “Client Directory” you will find over a hundred of cool companies and products who have received funding from BFTP.
Like many startups, KBB Realtors is a local company that began with a dream in 1933. We understand the drive, as well as the need, for entrepreneurs and economic development in Centre County and statewide.
