Penn State Alumni Help Penn State Students

Hintz Family Donates to the Penn State Student Care and Advocacy Emergency Fund.

Ed & Helen Hintz, prominent alumni of Penn State University, responded generously to the campaign for Penn State students who are struggling financially during the coronavirus pandemic.  They have donated $100,000 which is the largest gift as of this writing.  Presently, the fund has raised $404,646 with almost 1900 supporters.  If Penn State is near and dear to your heart and you want to help, we provide the link below.

Penn State President, Eric Barron notes "The generosity of the Hintz family will also affirm that no Penn Stater is along and that our community remains strong, united and supportive of each other, even in difficult times."  He notes that the Hintz family has a history of supporting Penn State students.

Ed & Helen met as Penn State students and have leading supporters in many areas. Ed is an alumn of the class of 1959 and Helen is an alumn of the class of 1960.  Read more about their gift and their story here:  https://news.psu.edu/story/617924/2020/04/30/impact/hintzes-commit-100000-emergency-aid-students
