State College News- Small Business Saturday

Venture downtown State College to support your local small business on November 28th during Small Business Saturday!

Small Business Saturday focuses around the local shops, who want people to shop small. This day is an American shopping holiday held the Saturday after Thanksgiving.

This Event falls right in the middle of the Holiday shopping season, which is considered the busiest time of the year for many stores.

All these local small businesses have one thing in common, they agree shopping locally gives them a better connection with the companies, and now more than ever it is important to shop small in order to keep their business successful and running.

Small Business Saturday was created in 2010, and local shop owners say each year it gains more attention.

"Beyond their size, small businesses are defined by their spirit. And at the helm are their intrepid founders—scrappy, ambitious, and resilient. They invent and build things despite uncertainty, because it’s what drives them. Their risks lead to innovation that moves the world forward. And we need them."
