A Central Pennsylvania native and a Penn State alumna, Jane Adams has called this area home for most of her life.

“I love the seasons, the proximity to larger cities and quaint suburbs,” she said when describing her appreciation for the region.

“There’s recreation for everyone, art, educational opportunities, Penn State sports, great concert venues, and opportunities for start-ups and large corporations … all in our backyard.”

She lives for the moment she gets to see her clients enjoying their new home, but before the search begins, she likes to make sure the buyer understands the market and is in the right place to begin the buying process.

“Being prepared in advance helps buyers present their strongest offer in a competitive market,” Jane said. “I will connect you with lenders, title companies, moving companies, contractors and inspectors … everyone you need to make the processes go efficiently and smoothly.”

It’s equally satisfying for Jane to hear the voice of a seller when she calls to inform them that they have multiple offers after only days on the market! We’ve all heard the adage that you only get one chance to make a first impression, and Jane believes this is true when selling a home, too.

“I can't emphasize enough how important it is to present your home online in the best possible light,” Jane said. “An estimated 9 out of 10 buyers use online tools for their search, and having your home staged and professionally photographed or even a virtual tour made is necessary to maintain an edge in today's market.”

Trying to do this all on your own may seem like a good idea, she said, but statistically you leave money on the table. According to the National Association of Realtors, 88 percent of buyers use an agent.

“I will see to it that your home is photographed properly. If it needs staged, I can help with that too!” Jane said. “I’ll market your home using a variety of avenues, and along with your help, make sure it’s priced appropriately. Most importantly, I’m prepared to negotiate the best possible price for your home with different strategies.”

If you’re searching for a home, she recommends starting with our state-of-the-art map search – with it you can quickly search the entire market. Simply type the address, city, MLS ID, or just hit the search button to get started. The large format map allows you to click and drag, zoom in and view detailed information and photos for all properties currently listed on the MLS.

And when you see one that stands out, consider giving her a call for your showing.

“I’m eager to help! Whether you’re selling your home, searching for your next one, or simply have questions about the process, I’m glad to assist in any way I can.”
